AC1 1038868 RAF Volunteer ReserveDied 17th August 1945 aged 33Walter was born in Maldon, the son of Walter and Agnes Mary. He married a Galleywood girl and lived in Galleywood.

Walter was captured at the fall of Singapore in 1942 and was a POW in Kuching, Borneo. He died two days after peace was declared.He is buried at Labuan, an island in Brunei Bay.Walter left a wife Norah Gertrude and a daughter he never saw.
