He had served throughout WW1 and survived. In 1919 he was sent to the North West Frontier Province where British troops were involved in the 3rd Afghan War. Despite an uneasy truce in 1919, there were further uprisings during which Albert's luck finally ran out.He is buried at Peshawar and commemorated on the Delhi Memorial India Gate.
