Frederick enlisted in Calgary in 1915. He died during the final stages of the war known as "The Last 100 Days" near Montigny in France.He is buried in Montay Neuvilly Road Cemetery, Nord France, and is commemorated on the grave of his parents and brother in St Michael's churchyard.
