Alice Louisa Smith appears to be the sister of Nellie's mother, so Nellie was her niece.When the bomb dropped in Skinners Lane in Galleywood on 30th October 1940, Nellie was rescued and appeared unhurt but she died the following day in hospital.She is buried in St Michael's churchyard in Galleywood.
