Brian was wounded during the D-Day landings and was hospitalised in England. He later died as a result of his wounds.Brian is buried in Chelmsford Borough Cemetery in Writtle Road.He left a wife Daphne Barbara nee Garwood whom he had married in St Michael's church in Galleywood in January 1944.
